Yuri Lebedev, Russian Attorney and Advisor to our Moscow Office, concentrates his practice on a Russian commercial real estate and construction.

   He has over 20 years’ experience in Russian real estate transactions, including title matters, commercial leasing, land rights, zoning, mortgage documentation, shared construction, suretyship, bank guarantees and other financial instrument drafting and negotiation.

   Mr. Lebedev has experience in project finance, including foreign investor participation in Russian property ownership and building construction. Among many other matters, he has represented some major intergovernmental organizations and embassies of several countries in different real estate transactions and has assisted Russian and foreign financial and strategic investors in due diligence, privatization, power supply and electric utility issues as well as in Russian joint venture formation.

   Mr. Lebedev’s prior experience includes serving as Counsel for Baker & McKenzie – CIS, Limited, Moscow, and as an Associate for Linklaters, Moscow and London (in their respective Real Estate / Construction departments). Previously, he held a position of in-house legal counsel working on corporate matters and international mergers and acquisitions for S.P.I. Spirits (Cyprus) and on banking law matters for APR-Bank, Moscow. He also worked as a legal assistant to the Supreme Soviet (Parliament) of the Russian Federation, Committee on Local Administration.
