Privacy in the New World Order
Continuing with our “Privacy in the New World Order” series, our firm again partnered with Thomson Reuters on a pod cast, now publicly available. Topics include privacy in the U.S. and abroad, following the world wide disruptions to global trade, health, and investment. They affect every attorney involved with U.S., U.K., and EU privacy protections, whether in compliance or in transactional matters. The discussion also addresses how privacy laws function (or should) in the wake of rapidly unfolding, uncharted global disruptions: “Brexit” (Britain’s exit from the EU), newly expanded U.S. regulations under the Committee for Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS), and the exchange of health related information necessitated by COVID-19.
