Part I of our new Online Content Regulation series is now available!

We are pleased to announce that our recent webinar, “Content Regulation in the Age of Misinformation,” the first in our new series “Online Content Regulation” is now available at https://westlegaledcenter.com/program_guide/course_detail.jsf?videoCourseId=26675082&ADMIN_PREVIEW=true.

Collaborating again with WestLegalEdcenter, this series discusses one of the most important issues now pending before the U. S. Supreme Court in Gonzalez v. Google: who may – or may not – control Internet speech. The program takes an in-depth look at Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act and is moderated by Walt Sapronov of our Firm and Joshua Turner of Wiley Rein. Speakers include Joseph Srouji (Sapronov Group), Dr. Martyn Roetter (D. Phil Physics and Advisor to Sapronov Government Affairs, Inc.), and Ashkhen Kazaryan (Senior Fellow, Free Speech and Peace at Stand Together; formerly Content Policy Manager at Facebook).

The Supreme Court is expected to release its decision this summer (oral argument was held on February 21, 2023). It will have ramifications for virtually every online platform, distributor, and third party content provider – with possibly far reaching implications for E-Commerce and Artificial Intelligence.

Please see the attached Client Alerts for a detailed discussion of this important topic.
