Eugene Yukin

Eugene Yukin is an Advisor to the Firm’s affiliate, Sapronov Government Affairs, Inc.  He provides support for clients in online technology, foreign transactions, software, venture capital, and foreign policy matters.

Mr. Yukin is a former entrepreneur, product manager, and journalist, with many years of experience leading technology startups and conducting international investment research.  He has also worked on Capitol Hill in the US Senate assisting with the development of cybersecurity legislation and providing policy analysis on cybersecurity, international high-tech collaboration, and Middle Eastern affairs.   Mr. Yukin is fluent in Russian and is conversational in Mandarin and Arabic.

Most recently, he has led two VC-backed technology companies as CEO, designing and shipping innovative software products to thousands of customers.  Prior to his entry into technology, Mr. Yukin worked in the media and investment research fields, assessing global investments risks in the energy industry which included postings in China, Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Singapore and other countries. His work has been published in major publications including Oil and Gas Investor, Engineering & Mining Journal, and Chemical Week.

Mr. Yukin graduated from Emory University with a BA in Middle Eastern and South East Asian Studies, Chinese Language and Literature, and a minor in Arabic.
