Benefits and Challenges for Businesses

November 3, 2009[br]Tele-Briefing

On Oct. 22, 2009, the FCC issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Preserving the Open Internet Broadband Industry Practices. Commonly referred to as “Net Neutrality”, this proceeding will help codify the four principles the FCC articulated in its 2005 Internet Policy Statement, along with two new principles proposed by FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski.

David Baker, Managing Director of Sapronov & Butler Government Affairs, will be moderating a telebriefing to discuss how Net Neutrality Rules will affect traditional wireline and newer wireless broadband networks and the content, services and applications available on them (including the impact of policy efforts to deploy new broadband networks.)
